I am a self employed artist and silversmith. I was inspired to start using sea glass in my jewelry when we moved to downeast Maine last year. I also draw graphite and charcoal portraits, as well as dabbling in some other art styles and mediums.
I grew up in the mountains of the northern Adirondacks in NY. I attended college in the Hudson Valley in NY, graduating with a BA in 2005. My major was studio art with a minor in art history. I studied silversmithing and photography mainly, but dabbled in other studio classes here and there.
We have recently bought a house near the coast, in Pembroke, where I have my own little studio room to create in. All of the sea glass and beach pottery in my jewelry was personally picked off the beaches here in Maine.
Besides word of mouth, I currently sell my wares online through Etsy.com and at a local artisan shop in Southwest Harbor (on Mt. Desert Island) called Flying Mountain Artisans.
